Interpol in search of Delimkhanov for attempt on Sulim Yamadaev

Adam Delimkhanov, deputy of Russia's State Duma from Chechnya, has been announced by the Interpol into international search on suspicion of murdering Sulim Yamadaev, ex-commander of the "Vostok" battalion, on March 28 in Dubai. The search was initiated by the police of the United Arab Emirates, as reported by the official website of the Interpol.

Earlier, it was reported that the Interpol had put the figurants in ex-commander's murder case on the list of searched persons.

The official spokesman of the Interpol National Central Bureau in Russia has stated that Delimkhanov cannot be arrested in the territory of Russia, as he is a Russian citizen and local law enforcement bodies have no claims to the MP.

According to the spokesman, the UAE law enforcement bodies should send materials of Delimkhanov's criminal case to their Russian counterparts, then, the court there should decide on his guilt or innocence, as the "Interfax" reports.

Earlier, the UAE police had stated that they suspect Delimkhanov of being involved in Sulim Yamadaev's murder. The deputy rejects all the accusations, however, "Vostok" ex-commander's relatives and friends are also sure that Delimkhanov has to do with the attempt, same as to the murder of Sulim's brother Ruslan, committed on September 24, 2008, in Moscow.
