Verdict on terror acts in Moscow Metro will be made on February 2

Today, after the last word of the defendants on the case of acts of terrorism in Moscow Metro, the Moscow City Court has appointed the adjudgement of the sentence on February 2. The session was closed. The verdict will also be announced at a closed session, journalists will be admitted to the resolution part only, the ITAR-TASS informs.

Anna Usachova, head of the Moscow City Court's press service, has informed, that one of the defendants Tambij Khubiev has admitted his guilt completely and regrets of what he did, and the second defendant Maxim Panaryin has partially pled guilty and has also stated his repentance, while the third defendant senior justice counsellor Murat Shavaev, former employee of the Ministry of Justice, is completely refuting his guilt.

On August 31, 2004, a self-made bomb was exploded by a woman-suicide-bomber near the "Rizhskaya" station of Moscow Metro. Ten persons were killed, including the self-killer and Nikolai Kipkeev who took part in preparation and committing the action. Thirty more persons were injured. The explosion between the stations "Avtozavodskaya" and "Paveletskaya" was made in the morning on February 6, 2004; it killed 41 persons and wounded about 250.
