Proceedings on private's suicide started in Krasnodar
In the Krasnodar Territory, the Military Court of the Krasnodar Garrison has started a trial on the case on non-manual relations between soldiers that resulted in a suicide of a rank-and-file soldier, the spokesman of the Court told the RIA "Novosti" on Thursday.
In the words of the Agency's source, two servicemen are the defendants in the case; one of them was recruited from the Krasnodar Territory, the other - from the Volgograd Region.
"Both accused soldiers were presented charges under Article 335 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Breach of manual regulations and interrelations among the servicemen for lack of subordination relations among them, that has caused grave consequences)," the Court spokesman said.
In July 2006, a soldier who was recruited from the Leningrad Region and who did his service in one of the military units of the Kuban town of Timashevsk, committed suicide by throwing himself out of the window of the fourth level of the barrack. The investigation has found out that his comrades-in-arms had repeatedly applied to the victim non-manual relations in the form of beating and humiliation. About ten persons more have been recognized victims in the case.
