Kaloev will not be released from Swiss prison before prosecutor's appeal has been considered
Today, the Federal Court of Switzerland has published its statement confirming the delay of enactment of the decision of the Zurich Canton Court on early release of Russian Vitaly Kaloev, who is serving his term for murdering Peter Nielsen, air traffic controller of the SkyGuide Swiss Company. Thus, Kaloev will not quit the prison on August 24 as expected.
The statement of the Federal Court runs that the consideration of Kaloev's release issue should be postponed until decision on the other appeal of the public prosecutor dated this July 27, in which he challenges the legality of decreasing Kaloev's imprisonment term from eight years down to five years and three months, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
