Charges of undermining the "Neva-Express" presented to nobody so far

The Prosecutor's Office has not yet presented any official charges to any of the persons detained on suspicion in participation of blowing up the "Neva-Express" train on August 13.

According to the message of the RIA "Novosti," Dmitri Fisyuk, advocate of Denis Zelenyuk, detained in connection with the case, has announced today that so far, his client has not been presented any official charges by the Prosecutor's Office.

Yesterday, similar statements were made by Renat Gusmanov, advocate of suspect Andrei Kalyonov (a St-Petersburg anarchist and a member of the Scientific and Research Centre (SRC) "Memorial"), and Murad Yunusov, advocate of suspect Khasan Didigov, a native of Chechnya.

According to all the three lawyers, so far, the Prosecutor's Office did not conduct any investigatory actions with their clients.

All the three detainees are now kept in the Novgorod SIZO (pre-trial detention facility).

We remind you that the 30-day legitimate term of the arrest of Andrei Kalyonov and Denis Zelenyuk in anticipation of presented charges, which was "measured" to them by the Malaya Vishera District Court of the Novgorod Region, expires on September 14. On that day they must be either released, or presented charges.

The advocates of Kalyonov and Zelenyuk are confident that "there is nothing that the guys can be accused of," therefore, the probability that Andrei and Denis will be released and all the suspicions lifted is rather high.
