FSB of Ingushetia suspects that Chechen Committee for National Salvation is funded by foreign extremists
The FSB Department (FSBD) for Ingushetia suspects that the Chechen Committee for National Salvation (ChCNS) is financed by foreign extremist organizations. For this reason, in August 2007, the FSBD initiated an off-schedule audit of the activities of the organization by the Department of "Rosregistratsia" (Federal Registration Service) for Ingushetia.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by Ruslan Badalov, Chairman of the Regional Public Movement (RPM) "Chechen Committee for National Salvation".
On April 1, at a regular session of the Nazran District Court, which considered the complaint of the ChCNS against wrongful actions of the Department of the Federal Registration Service for the Republic of Ingushetia (DFRS for RI), on demand of the claimant the respondent was compelled to present and announce a letter of Colonel Igor Bondarev, head of the FSBD for Ingushetia to the DFRS for RI dated August 4 last year.
"According to available information, by covering their actions with human rights activities, the RPM ChCNS is pursuing other aims than those specified in its constituent documents, namely: the representatives of the RPM ChCNS are gathering negative materials about the socio-economic and political situation in Ingushetia, which is subsequently published in obviously distorted form in the website 'Ingushetia.Ru'," Ruslan Badalov quotes the letter of the chief counterspy of Ingushetia.
On the basis of the fact that the Chechen Committee for National Salvation is "a receiver of grants of international structures", the head of the FSBD could not exclude a probability "of receiving funds by them from foreign extremist organizations" and asked the DFRS for Ingushetia to audit the activities of the organization for their conformity to the Charter of the organization and legislation on public associations.
