Dagestan: Women's Charitable Hospital exposed to total audits

The Women's Charitable Hospital, located in Makhachkala, is now under audits and inspections held by the Ministry of Public Health of Dagestan. The Hospital managers explain these measures by their unwillingness to abandon the premises now occupied by the Hospital.

Aishat Magomedova, Director of the Hospital, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that during these latest days, the Women's Charitable Hospital has lived through a number of checks organized by the Ministry of Public Health of Dagestan.

"We've never had any complaints as to the quality of the health services that we render to our patients," Ms Magomedova said. "Most likely, these checks were initiated after our criticism of the Republic's Ministry of Public Health, and because of our unwillingness to voluntarily free the premises, which our Hospital now occupies."

Aishat Magomedova has informed the correspondent that today, on May 16, another group of Ministry's inspectors arrived to the Hospital. However, as she explained, she has refused to admit them into the building without her advocate taking part in the checks. After that, the inspectors left the Hospital.
