In accordance with the examination, Burulov's state of health allows him to take part in the investigation and other procedural actions", reports the  ICP representative whom ITAR-TASS cites.

The court proceedings were to start on July 25 upon the request of the investigation officer of the Investigation Committee, Investigation Department under the  Russian Prosecutor's Office on Kalmykia, to change the measure of restraint with regard to Burulov. The court session was first postponed by 19 hours, then it was postponed until July 29.

Kalmykia's TV broadcast information to the effect that Elista mayor, who was under medical treatment in Stavropol for coronary disease, had been malingering, while on July 25, having learnt about the arrival of the prosecutor's office representatives, had "fled" by "jumping out of the window ".
