Militia kept passive during disorders in Kondopoga, witness asserts

Witness Sergey Mozgalyov stated to the Supreme Court of Karelia, which is considering the case of Caucasian natives who had initiated a mass fight at the "Chaika" restaurant that during the disorders in Kondopoga militia kept close to the events but chose not to interfere.

On October 8, the trial listened to Sergey Mozgalyov, the first on the Kondopoga convicts, who is nowadays serving his term in the strict custody colony for bodily blows.

Sergey Mozgalyov asserts that during the fight a squad of militiamen was near "Chaika". As he said, he had even came up to them and asked to interfere, but they did not even left their car. Mozgalyov had also seen a patrol standing nearby "Chaika", when the ambulance was taking the victims to hospital. "The head of the patrol said that they had an order not to interfere," Mozgalyov asserts. He is sure that the fight was video recorded. "There're plenty of questions in this case... For example, why the record had been deleted afterwards," said Sergey Mozgalyov.
