Chechnya's MIA: attempt on Evkurov was commanded by Magas

The attempt on President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov was organized by Magomed Evloev, head of a criminal grouping, also known under nickname Magas. This was reported today by Ruslan Alkhanov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Chechnya.

"According to information at disposal of law enforcers, Magomed Evloev was the direct organizer of the terror act against Evkurov. He used the wife of an earlier killed militant as a suicide bomber, and personally supervised the terrorist operation," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Alkhanov as saying.

According to law enforcers, Evloev had fought in Chechnya under command of Aslan Maskhadov and was also named as one of possible organizers of the Beslan terror act. The "Yuga.Ru" reminds that earlier several times reports appeared that Evloev was liquidated.
