Georgia to complain of Russia to International Maritime Court
The authorities of Georgia are going to submit a claim to the International Maritime Court in the context of the situation in the Abkhazian section of territorial waters, where Russian military ships appeared.
The decision to apply to the International Maritime Court was made today at a joint sitting of the parliamentary committees, the United Transport Administration and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, as the "Interfax" reports.
Irakliy Giviashvili, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, told journalists that the claim will be prepared and submitted to the near future, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
Shota Malashkhiya, head of the parliamentary commission on restoration of the territorial integrity, could not exclude, in his conversation with journalists, possible provocations in the Abkhazian conflict zone; but he has assured that the Georgian party is ready for this, the "News-Georgia" writes.
