About thousand Georgians hold protest on South-Ossetian border

A protest action "No to occupation!" with the participation of oppositional politicians and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) was held in the Georgian pre-border village of Sobisi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 4, the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia accused South Ossetia of relocating the banner designating the border. About 10 hectares of land were lost, said the residents of the Georgian village of Bershuti. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) refuted these statements.

The largest recent protest action was held near the occupation line of the Tskhinvali District. About a thousand people gathered in Sobisi, Gori District, to protest against "Russia's aggressive actions and the creeping occupation."

The participants of the action lined up in a living chain, and unfolding their posters reading, "No to occupation!", "Hands off Georgia!", "Russia is evil empire" and others.

Also, a march took place under the slogan "We will not allow the borders of Georgia to be controlled by the Russian militaries", the "Georgia Online" reports.
