Ingush students go on hunger strike in Egyptian prison

Five Ingush students who were detained in Egypt last August and who are being kept in prison, declare hunger strike with the demand to release them. According to Marem Dzeitova, a mother of one of the detained students, they demand to release them, since no charges have been filed against them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August 2018, five young people from Ingushetia were detained in Egypt. All five left for Egypt without informing their parents about their intentions and studied in Cairo at mosques, reported the leader of Ingushetia. Four detainees were suspected of extremism, and another resident of Ingushetia of recruitment of fighters for militants, Yunus-Bek Evkurov reported.

The Ingush students, detained by the Egyptian law enforcement bodies, went on hunger strike. They demand to release them, the "Fortanga" reports with reference to Khadishat Pugoeva, a wife of Ilez Aushev, one of the detained students.

The hunger-strikers demand to release them, since no charges have been filed against them yet, the "Yuga.ru" reported on April 7 with reference to Marem Dzeitova, the mother of one of the detainees.
