About 150 Georgian citizens will be expelled from Volga region
Russian courts of the Pre-Volga Federal District have ruled to deport another group of about 150 Georgian citizens out of the country. Zurab Pataradze, consul of Georgia in the Russian Federation, announced this information on October 19, the "Novosti-Georgia" reports.
"The detained citizens of Georgia are kept at a number of reception-distribution custody facilities of the District", the consul reported, noting that currently 53 citizens of Georgia are waiting for their deportation to homeland at the Moscow distribution centre.
We note here that Georgian officials are accusing the RF authorities of ethnic cleansings and even of genocide in relation to natives of Georgians. The Russian party is stoutly denying these charges; however, human rights activists also mark a radical outburst of xenophobia and national intolerance towards the natives of Georgia.
