Georgia condemns setting up new signs on demarcation line with South Ossetia

On June 18-19, within the "borderization" activities, in the territory under their control near the village of Khurvaleti, Gori Municipality, Russian troops installed illegal, according to the Georgian party, banner signs, the "News-Georgia" Agency has informed referring to the Georgian State Security Service (SSS).

The SSS treats the installation of the signs as one of the facts of illegal borderization; in connection with the incident, a hotline has been activated; the co-chairs of the EUMM (European Union's Monitoring Mission) and the Geneva Talks have been informed, the Georgian "Channel One" has reported.

"The issue will be raised sharply at the sitting of the Ergneti Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism, as well as at the Geneva International Discussions," the TV company has quoted the SSS as stating.

"The illegal so-called 'borderization' and the illegitimate signs set up within it are impeding the free travel, complicate the daily life of the local population and damage the security situation in the place. The occupying forces bear full responsibility for the ongoing process," the "InterPressNews" has quoted the SSS as stating.
