Volgograd court would not consider pensioner's claim against Putin's reception office
The court has refused to consider the lawsuit lodged by Albert Chernyshov, a pensioner, against an employee of the reception office of the President of Russia in the Volgograd Region, citing the president's immunity.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Albert Chernyshov, a pensioner and disabled person, is suing the Putin's reception office in the Volgograd Region and its female employee for refusing to accept his appeal. As a result of the conflict in the office, the pensioner who is raising a minor son was fined.
The Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd has ruled to stop the proceedings of Chernyshov's case with reference to the immunity of the Russian President enshrined in the Constitution.
The ruling was made by the judge after Chernyshov was removed from the courtroom on April 25 "for violating the order at the court session."
The pensioner treats the court ruling as unjustified, since his lawsuit did not directly concern the president and his plenipotentiary envoy.
