In Volgograd, court refuses to recognize inaction of prosecutor’s office on claim of mobilized man’s wife
The Voroshilovsky District Court of Volgograd did not grant a lawsuit filed by a spouse of mobilized Anton Stepanischev against the military prosecutor’s office. The woman demanded from military prosecutors to response to her request to appoint an examination by a military medical commission, since her husband was mobilized despite being diagnosed with a number of serious illnesses.
Alexandra Stepanischeva claims that her husband suffers from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and before his mobilization, he survived an attack by hooligans, during which he got a brain concussion. According to the woman’s claim, Anton Stepanischev did not undergo a military medical examination when drafted to the military service.
“All my appeals to the military prosecutor’s office had no result. I only received formal replies,” said Alexandra Stepanischeva.
Lawyer Sergey Ivaschenko noted that Anton Stepanischev was illegally denied the military medical examination. “His report and his wife’s appeals to the military prosecutor’s office are simply ignored. And the court is inactive. That is, the lawlessness reigns,” Sergey Ivaschenko emphasized.
The lawyer has added that in accordance with the instructions issued by the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), commanders are to consider reports of military personnel within a month.
