Expertise confirms relatives' version of cause of Djabrailov's death
The conducted forensic examination has confirmed that Akhmed Djabrailov, detained by police in Makhachkala, died of suffocation, Shamil Khadulaev, the head of the Dagestani Public Oversight Commission (POC) has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that investigators claimed the detention of a policeman suspected of using violence against Akhmed Djabrailov. The case is being investigated under articles on abuse of office and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death.
On July 27, 2024, Khadulaev posted a video record from surveillance cameras installed at the police station and stated that the law enforcers had been "wittingly or unwittingly" involved in Djabrailov's death.
Let us remind you that Djabrailov died of asphyxia, his mother, Khadizhat Gasanova, stated it in her appeal to President Putin. "As a result of violent actions, electric shocks, blows to the face and other body parts, as well as deliberate actions in the form of strangulation, my son Akhmed died at the police station," she said.
