Office of oppositional political faction plundered in Georgia

Today at night, the office of the oppositional political faction "Our Georgia", headed by Valery Gelbakhiani, was plundered. Four computers containing data about the pre-election campaign and supporters of Patarkatsishvili were carried away.

The loss was detected in the morning when the workers came to work. At present, the office is locked, and nobody is inside.

It is necessary to note here that the office occupies the ground floor of the building that also houses the office of the Institute of Freedom, and the Ministry of Justice of Georgia is next-door.

Currently, the "Our Georgia" faction is dismissed. Valery Gelbakhiani, the faction leader, is also the head of the pre-election headquarters of Badri Patarkatsishvili.

The press centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs refrains from comments.

The "Caucasian Knot" has already informed that Mr Gelbakhiani was brought to criminal liability on January 22 on charges of conspiracy with the aim of a coup d'etat. The Tbilisi City Court has satisfied the request of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Georgia and on February 2 chose a two-month preliminary arrest for Valery Geblakhiani.
