In Dagestan, a local resident killed and two militiamen wounded

On April 8, in the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, unidentified persons wounded two employees of the road police service, and then, trying to escape the chase, killed a local resident.

Earlier, it was reported that late at night on April 8, unidentified persons in Khasavyurt wounded from a pistol an employee of the State Drugs Control Service.

As reported by a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic, on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:35 p.m. in the 830th kilometre of the "Kavkaz" Federal Highway at the "Butri" Fuelling Station, road police employees stopped a BMW car to check documents. According to "Gazeta.Ru", the driver and passenger opened fire on militiamen, having wounded two inspectors, then, having left the car, tried to escape the chase.

In their hide-out, they ran into the territory of the sheep shelter farm "Sasibulak" some fifteen hundred meters off the highway, where they killed a local shepherd of 46. Militiamen failed to immediately detain the criminals, as the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

The wounded road policemen were hospitalized. The militia is now searching the culprits.
