The decision of the Armenian authorities to extend the social assistance programme for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh for two months is only a temporary measure. The authorities do not take into account the realities of life in Armenia and housing prices. Investigators have dropped the charges of financing terrorism against Magomed Magomedov, a former Dagestani Minister of Sports and a former Mayor of the city of Kizilyurt. Magomedov has refused to admit his guilt on the other charges – the murder of the Sirazhudinov father and son, committed in 2006, the creation of a gang, and a theft. The case will be heard by a jury.
