In USA, Fund raises more than 10 million US dollars for residents of Nagorno-Karabakh

In Los Angeles, the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund (Armenia) has completed the annual telethon, during which activists were raising the funds to provide housing for families of Nagorno-Karabakh with five or more children.

According to a member of the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund, in Nagorno-Karabakh, about 240 families with five or more minor children are in need of housing.

In total, the telethon has raised 10,378,000 US dollars, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The telethon was launched at 10:00 p.m. Yerevan of November 26, and it was finished at exactly 10:00 a.m.

In 2013 and 2014, the funds raised in the telethon were directed to construction of the highway Vardenis-Mardakert to connect Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2014, the organizers of the telethon raised 12.4 million US dollars. The largest amount of money was raised by the telethon in 2008, when the amount of donations reached 35 million US dollars.
