"Hayastan" Foundation starts raising money for NKR infrastructure projects

On November 23, at 10:00 p.m. Yerevan time, the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Foundation launched its annual television marathon under the motto "Fertile Artsakh".

Many take part in the marathon anonymously. In particular, in the evening on November 23, a man entered the office of the Foundation and donated 100 US dollars in an envelope in memory of his wife Loretta Agasaryan. The man did not want to introduce himself; he only said: "Let one drop of water in Artsakh be due to this money," an employee of the "Hayastan" office told the "Caucasian Knot".

According to his story, another anonymous donator from Iran has transferred 25,000 US dollars to help the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).

The money raised during this year's TV marathon will be spent on drilling deep-water wells, construction of new irrigation canals and development of the solar energy system, which is very important for the NKR, the press service of the "Hayastan" Foundation has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2016, the Telethon organized by the "Hayastan" Foundation raised more than 15 million US dollars. The money was directed to restore the regions of Nagorno-Karabakh, affected by hostilities.
