Inquiry in Nalchik tries to identify the body thought to be Kardanov

The investigatory group of the Russian General Prosecutor's Office for the South Federal District (SFD), which dealt with the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, is now trying to identify body No. 82, which until recently was considered to be Murat Kardanov, a resident of Zolukokoazhe village. For this purpose they take blood again for genetic examination from mothers of some casualties and searched persons.

Among those whose blood was repeatedly taken was Nina Odizheva, whose son Ruslan Odizhev was killed in the course of a special operation in June 2007, mother of Murat Kushkhov, who is now searched, and Lydia Kardanova, mothers of Murat Kardanov. However Maria Mameeva, whose son Rustam Mameev was killed in a special operation on October 6, 2008, refused to give her blood for repeated examination.

"I received a summon instructing me to come and give blood again. The district militiaman told me that if I didn't come by myself, I'd be forced to do it. But all the same, I decided not to do it, as I see no sense," Maria Mameeva said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "Under the law, giving blood for genetic analysis by a witness is voluntary."

We remind you that it follows from the indictment of the above criminal case on the attack on Nalchik that earlier Kardanov's mother gave her blood for genetic examination, which showed that body No. 82 was Murat Kardanov with probability of 99.9999 percent.
