Ex-Minister of Defence of Georgia Irakliy Okruashvili arrested in Germany

The "Berliner Zeitung" has reported today about the arrest in Berlin, the capital of Germany, of one of the leaders of Georgian opposition, ex-Minister of Defence Irakliy Okruashvili, accused by Georgian authorities of a number of crimes.

The newspaper writes that Mr Okruashvili was arrested yesterday, on November 27, in the evening.

The Reuters informs that Okruashvili was detained on demand of the Georgian party. The fact was also confirmed by the prosecutor's office of Berlin.
