Jury in the case on Kondopoga disorders acquits militiaman Vysokikh

Today, the jury has acquitted Victor Vysokikh, deputy head of the Public Security Militia of Karelia, accused of professional negligence in relation to mass disorders in Kondopoga in 2006.

"The jurymen have acquitted the defendant on all the points of the indictment. The final verdict will be passed next week by the Supreme Court of Karelia," a spokesman of the Supreme Court of the Republic is quoted by the RIA "Novosti" as saying.

We remind you that on February 7 the Supreme Court of Karelia started to consider in the closed mode the criminal case in relation to Colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Victor Vysokikh who was in command of the special operation to suppress mass disorders.

Let us note here that on March 27 the Supreme Court of Karelia ruled to shorten by six months the conditional imprisonment of Alexei Kostin, a former militiaman of Kondopoga, recognized guilty of negligence during mass disorders in the city in 2006.
