Three peaceful residents killed in Dagestan

Last night in Makhachkala, in a skirmish of two unidentified persons with militiamen a casual passer-by was killed; and in the settlement named Aerodrom, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, three armed persons in masks shot dead a worker of the Makhachkala Department of North-Caucasian Railways and his wife.

As reported earlier by the "Caucasian Knot", on June 12, in a skirmish in Makhachkala, when militiamen managed to liquidate the leader of Makhachkala militants, a boy of six was wounded. On that very day, the body of a district militiaman was found in a yard of a house in the Akushin Avenue, Kirov District of Makhachkala; he had a gunshot wound in his head.

The murder of the railwayman and his wife was committed at about 1:00 a.m. on June 15. In the settlement named Novye Dachi three unknown persons in masks, dressed in black clothes and armed with a pistol, rushed into the house of one of the residents aged 41 and shot dead a senior electrician of North-Caucasian Railways and his wife.

The RIA "Dagestan" reports that law enforcers are still unaware of the motives; however, under preliminary versions, the reason could be in one's personal vengeance.

The death in Makhachkala of the occasional passer-by, a resident of Urada village, Shamil District, aged 22, was a result of a skirmish that burst on June 14 at 10:20 p.m. in Makhachkala after militiamen asked two suspicious persons to present their documents. None of the militiamen suffered.

One of the attackers was wounded. Having thrown their firearms, they ran away from the venue. The "Yuga.Ru" reports that the incident took place in the crossing of Engelsa Street and Akushin Avenue.
